Cooking turkey can be quite intimidating but it is really quite easy. I stuff my turkey with dressing made from potatoes, bread, onions, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. I make it the day before so it is cold when I put it inside the turkey.
Preheat the oven to 325
Rub olive oil all over the skin and bake covered. Baste every half hour of cooking time. This is how it will look even though it is covered the entire time.
Cook for 15 minutes per pound not stuffed and 20 minutes per pound stuffed. Remove it from the pan and cover with foil to keep the moisture inside the bird while preparing the gravy. Enjoy!
