Simple Tips for Arranging Beautiful Bouquets!

posted in: Home Decor 5

I don’t know about you but I find flowers amazing because every single one is different and unique.

Having an arrangement on my table makes me smile and I feel a connection with nature.

As complicated as it looks, you can arrange a beautiful boutique with very little effort, inexpensively.

Find a large mouthed vase. They works well for many kinds of flowers….especially Tulips.

Tulips are the sure sign of spring.  The feeling they bring to me is one of excitement and anticipation for sunshine and new life.

Once I decide what vase I want to use I go to the local grocer and select a bunch or two of tulips….whatever color appeals to me that day.

Or you can cut fresh flowers from your own garden.

If you have Hostas add a few leaves in the vase before the flowers. That is a perfect start to a beautiful bouquet.

Whatever flowers you select will look lovely whether arranged by color or mixed color and types.

Steps to follow:

To begin fill the vase with tepid water ¾ full and add the some miracle grow drops for indoor plants or the packet of plant food provided with the flowers.

Cut the stems under cold running water because the fresh cut will allow more water to reach the bloom and keep the flowers alive longer.

Cut them so they can hang over naturally 3 to 4 inches.

Place them evenly around the vase and cut two or three a little bit shorter or taller for the middle to fill up the center of the vase and make your arrangement look full.

When I am satisfied with how my bouquet looks I select a piece of ribbon from my stash I have saved from gifts or other flower arrangements and tie it around the vase.

The look is simple and beautiful. Your arrangement can last up to two weeks.

I often make and arrangement to give as a gift to family or friends!

Enjoy being creative. There is never a right or wrong way to arrange.

All that matters is that you love it!

Remember you are amazing!
